Nigeria Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel has confirmed that he underwent a successful surgery.
The Nigerian flew into England from China Thursday to seek a lasting solution to an abdominal strain he cupped while playing for his Chinese tea, Tianjin Teda.
He was reported to have undergone a Chinese traditional acupuncture but that was not effective hence the decision to go for the surgeons.
Mikel took to his instagram account to post a picture of himself on a hospital bed after the surgery the caption: “Surgery went well, rehab next… can’t wait to be back ???????? shame I can’t be on the pitch fighting with my team #TianjinTEDA #TEDAFightingFightingFighting ????????”
