The leading Nwangele 2019 House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu has reassured the people of Nwangele State Constituency of massive economic empowerment if elected in 2019 just as he promised to make Nwangele Local Government Area look like Nnewi and Aba.
Nwangele is one of the 27 local governments in Imo State.
Amara who stated this on Tuesday 19th of April 2017 while addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) Nwangele Local Government Area Leadership at the L.G.A Chairman’s home in Abajah, maintained that the wind of change has come to Nwangele, adding that he is an ambassador of change. He pointed out that if elected he will create economic empowerment, arguing that he has the economic master plan of Nwangele L.G.A.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of SunGold Group of Companies; “I have a dream to make Nwangele L.G.A look like Nnewi and Aba and I have the economic master plan to do it. Nwangele project 2019 is for the entire Nwangele people and I must put Nwangele people first.”
Amara however used the opportunity to commend Governor Rochas Okorocha for raising the benchmark of Governance in Imo State, also reassured Nwangele APC members that he will continue to support the growth of the party in the area. Nwangele L.G.A APC Chairman, Barr. Jude Uzoukwu in his speech maintained that APC will rule Imo State beyond 2027, stressing that Nwangele is highly blessed with unique political leaders.
“Nwangele is our own and we have to open eyes and support those leaders and aspirants with credibility in 2019.” He stated.
Uzoukwu further commended Amara for coming to tell Nwangele APC Leadership about his aspiration and charged him to play according to the party rules.
One of the chieftains of the APC in Nwangele L.G.A and the commissioner for Health, women and Social Development Hon. Barr. Ngozi Njoku in her speech described Amara as a reliable and worthy Son of Nwangele L.G.A. Ngozi who used the opportunity to bless the aspiration of Amara, however thanked him for his intention to serve Nwangele people. Also speaking at the occasion, a chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nwangele, Chief Dom Njoku pointed out that they came for a purpose, adding that Nwangele project 2019 is for good and better future for Nwangele people.
According to him, “This is a new dawn in Nwangele L.G.A, power must come to the people, political parties have deceived us much and in 2019, we are going to vote based on character. For once in Nwangele L.G.A, let us start building future and support people with character.” Dom who stressed that Nwangele project 2019 has gone beyond political parties, also emphasized that Amara Iwuanyanwu is the sole candidate of Dim Na Ume ward irrespective of party platform.
Earlier while presenting Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu to APC L.G.A leadership, the Director General of Nwangele project 2019, Hon. Maurice Onwukwe (IME) noted that APC is a party that has shown Nwangele people so much love, stressing that his candidate has all it takes to reposition Nwangele State Constituency for better economically. “my candidate is a young man, age is on his side, he has the necessary contact to change the condition of Nwangele economically. I wish to appeal to everybody in Nwangele to join us to change the dynamics of politics of Nwangele in 2019 by supporting the aspiration of Amara Iwuanyanwu.” It will be recalled that on 16th April 2017, the leader of Nwangele project 2019 had an interface with the traditional rulers in Nwangele to seek their blessings on his aspiration.
While blessing Amara’s aspiration, the paramount ruler of Amaigbo Ancient Kingdom, HRM, Eze Nelson Nwosu commended Amara for being the first to tell them his ambition and asked God to bless his 2019 aspiration. Eze Nwosu however cautioned him not to promise what he cannot do, arguing that his father is an honest man in Nwangele. The chairman of Nwangele council of traditional rulers, HRM, Eze Godwin Ejiogu of Umunakara Community while blessing Amara’s aspiration on behalf of Ndi Eze Nwangele, described Amara as a rare Son of Nwangele.
He further commended him for being the first person to seek the blessings of Ndi Eze Nwangele and prayed that he will remain the first in the race. Furthermore, on 18th of April 2017, Amara Iwuanyanwu accompanied by his team visited his ward, Dim Na Ume to make his 2019 interest known to them and after his speech, the entire Dim Na Ume people resolved and adopted him as their sole candidate for 2019 Nwangele Assembly seat.
A community Leader and chieftain of APC in Dim Na Ume ward, Chief Azubuike Opurum reassured Amara of total support of his people for his aspiration. Opurum insisted that Dim Na Ume will not support any other person except Amara in 2019. “My brother, consider Dim Na Ume ward your own, the entire people of Dim Na Ume are solidly behind you and we shall contribute our own quota financially and otherwise to ensure its realization in 2019.” He stated
