The All Progressive Congress, APC has said Nigerians will resist any attempt to overthrow the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The reaction came after the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Buratai raised an alarm revealing that some politicians were meeting with some military officers for undisclosed reasons.
National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, explained why the APC initially hesitated to react.
He said the party waited for Nigerians to react first before they did. He spoke to journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
Bolaji said if there was any thing of such in the offing, it is clear to everyone that Nigerians will defend their own democracy.
