Mohammed Sala of Egypt is set to agree to a deal to leave Italian club, Roma for English side, Liverpool.
The Reds had offered 28 million pounds for the Egyptian which was rejected by Roma.
The two clubs are said to have continued negotiation and Liverpool are ready to up their offer, to equal the current transfer record paid for Andy Carrol in 2011.
Salah had left Chelsea for Roma on a long loan . He later signed for the Italian club for 13 million pounds. He scored in 19 goals in 39 matches last season as Roma pushed for the Serie A title.
