North Threat: South East Govs Meet, Agree To Convey Igbos Back Home- Nwodo

In response to the threat issued by some “ Northern Youths” that Igbos residing in the 19 states of the North should leave the region before October 1, 2017, Governors of the South East states Wednesday held an emergency meeting over the quit notice.

DAILY POST quoted the President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo saying in Enugu that at the meeting the governors agreed on immediate plans to convey Igbos in the North back home.

Nwodo, according to the report, said the Governors had almost mobilized thousands of luxurious buses and trucks to take Igbos in the North back home but for the timely intervention of Governor Nsiru El Rufal of Kaduna State.

He also applauded the Kaduna State Governor order for arrest of the Arewa Youths who issued the threat.

El Rufai had in a statement Wednesday condemned the threat and vowed to take decisive actions against the ” Northern Youths”
