The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Ifeanyi Ubah, has been released by the Department of State Services, DSS.

The DSS is yet to issue an official statement on the release of Mr. Ubah but reports said that the oil magnate was  released last night.

Ubah was arrested and detained by the DSS on May 5, 2017 for alleged involvement in acts of economic sabotage which include theft, diversion and illegal sale of petroleum products stored in his tank farm in Lagos by the NNPC.

Justice Yusuf Halilu of the FCT later extended the detention on Ubah following an ex- parte application the DSS filed through his lawyer, Mr. G.O.A Agbadua.
