Again, Police Frowns At Indiscriminate Use Of Covered Plate Numbers, Artificial Tinted Glasses, Others

PRESS RELEASE#

The Imo State Police Command has observed with utmost disgust a noticeable increase in the number of vehicles with covered plate numbers, artificial tinted glasses, revolving lights/siren and unauthorized Spy plate numbers being used by unauthorized person(s) to evade security vigilance.

The indiscriminate use of these vehicles has posed a serious challenge to the efforts of the Police Command in combating crime and criminality in the state.

It should be reiterated that the use of siren and pilot vehicles are for specific person(s) and purposes and not an all comers affair, hence unauthorized use should be stopped.

The Imo State Police Command therefore warns the general public that owners of such vehicles are by this press release given up till 3rd of July, 2017 to dismantle/remove them after which the command will embark on massive arrest and prosecution of offenders.
