Former Abia State Governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has called for the adoption of a governorship candidate among the litany of aspirants jostling the APC ticket in Anambra State.
He said the aspirants should sit down and among themselves choose a candidate.
The Anambra State governorship election holds on November 18, 2017.
He said this will make the task of the committee empowered to select a candidate easier .
Kalu spoke in Abuja shortly after a meeting of the APC Anambra State aspirants.
.His words: “We will appreciate very well if only all of you can lock yourselves inside the room, deliberate and resolve to present one of you as the flag bearer.
“Having passed this road in the past, I urge you to try very hard to woo the delegates to your side. I want to assure you that the committee will do everything possible to treat every aspirant fairly and equally.”
In his remarks, former governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, also a member of the committee, urged the aspirants to continue with the manner they had conducted themselves.
