The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that the All Progressive Congress, APC led Federal Government through its security operatives mandated Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha to “ do all he could to stop the sit at home order issued by our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB family members worldwide”
The group in a statement released in Awka by its IPOB’S Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said it also claimed that the Imo State Governor dismissed his Commissioner and Local Government Chairman in the 27 councils of Imo State because of the success of the May 30 sit at home declaration.
It however condemned the sack.
IPOB claimed the sacking of the Commissioners and Council Chairmen by the governor was to please the powers that be in Abuja.
.The statement reads in part:
“In line with this, Okorocha mandated his commissioners and his LGA’s transitional chairmen in all the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State to move into the villages and communities to sensitized them to boycott the sit – at – home order at all cost, unfortunately, those mandated to do so could not do it because power belongs to the masses not those in Government.
