Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi has said the Nigerian economy will collapse completely if the Buhari led Federal Government fails to take immediate steps to arrest the rot in the system.

He said the government is not doing enough to alleviate the suffering of the people just as he decried the high rate of hunger and poverty ravaging Nigerians.

The Former Governor gave the warning in an address at the Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo during the grand finale and presentation of awards to winners of a creative writing competition.

He said Nigerian leaders are doing things wrong and he would not follow them to celebrate what is wrong and he is of the opinion that Nigeria need to start doing things right to enable the country grow.

He urged the government to cut down the cost of governance warning that Nigerians are living on borrowed time.
