Ohaneze Youth Foundation has met with former Chief Security Officer to late former Military Head Of State, Major Hamza El Mustapha.

The meeting took place in Abuja.

The group  demanded an apology from Arewa Youths for issuing a quit notice to Igbos residing in the Northern part of the country.

The group also frowned at the threat, saying it is uncalled for and “therefore deserves apology for heating up the polity”

In his speech at a the meeting with the former Chief Security Officer, the  National President of the group, Mr Don Uba said the threat by the Arewa youths could be a ploy by some Northern elites to stage a coup in the country.

He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to confer an award of honour on Major Mustapha , whom he described an “ Essence of Democracy”, adding that a similar award will be conferred on Mustapha at the Foundation’s national delegate conference in November 2017.

Uba reminded the Northern Youths that Nigeria belongs to  “all of us and that there are many Northerners residing outside the shores of the nation and their various hosts have not threatened  them to abandon their hard earned property and other legacies”

In his remarks, Major Mustapha urged Nigerians to imbibe the political doctrine of Zikism which according to him  is anchored on the unity of  Nigeria and Africa as well. He condemned the clamour for the division of the country saying it would do the nation no good.
