Kidnapped Imo APC Chieftain Freed

Barrister Kingsley Onunuju, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC has been freed by his abductors.

He spent four days in the kidnappers den.

Onunuju is the Secretary of Owerri Equity Movement and former Special Adviser on New Partnership For Africa’s Development to the immediate past governor of the State, Ikedi Ohakim.

His abductors reportedly made a demand of 6 million naira as the condition of his release.

According to THE PUNCH, it was not ascertained if nay ransom as demanded by the abductors was paid for his release.

The newspaper quoted a family source who spoke on condition of anonymity that Mr. Onunuju was freed on Monday night.

The source said he was dumped at Road two, off Owerri- Port Harcourt Expressway in the night by his abductors and  quickly rushed for urgent medical attention.
