Youths in Igbo land operating under the guise of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Council, have faulted the series of consultations between Acting President Yemi Osibanjo and some select Sputh East and Northern leaders as unproductive and faulty.
In a statement Sunday, the OYC Publicity Secretary, Obinna Adibe said the meetings could not achieved much because the youths were not involved.
The OYC said since the issues centered around the youths, the Acting President should have carried them along.
“We watch with keen interest the on going consultative meetings the Ag President Yemi Osibanjo had with both South-East governors, traditional rulers, Igbo leaders and also a similar one he held with Northern leaders.
”We observed that Osibanjo’s meetings with all these groups lacked youth representation. There was no youth representatives in the consultations, which makes the peace meeting a stalemate”, the group stated.
Osibanjo had after the quit notice issued to Igbos residing in the North by Arewa Youths intervened by holding separate meetings with some leaders of the Southh East and the North.
