PDP Lawmakers Declare Aso Rock Villa Vacant

by admin

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caucus in the House of Representatives have declared a vacancy at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It said the villa is vacant because the APC led Federal Government has failed to deliver on its promises to Nigerians.

In a statement, the lawmakers led by leader of the House, Leo Ogor, said the party had begun preparations to take over from the ruling APC at the 2019 elections.
They also commended the Supreme Court on its ruling that sacked Ali Modu Sherrif and declared Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic national chairman of the PDP.

They also expressed happiness that the crisis that threatened to tear the PDP apart was over.

Ogor said the crisis was an internal affair of the party and as such there was no victor, no vanquished.

He was full of praise for members who stood firm despite the odds, stating that it was not justice to the PDP but justice for democratic principles and ethics.

The House Leader said for democracy to thrive in Nigeria , there must be virile opposition such that the PDP will give to checkmate alleged inconsistencies of the APC in the last two years.
