Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha has dismissed the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking shortly after a meeting APC Governors held with Acting President,Yemi Osibanjo in Abuja, Okorocha who is the Chairman of the Forum said the PDP was defeated by the APC when they were in power
“PDP is a no issue. We don’t even care about that. We defeated them when they were in power. So, what is different when we are now in power” he said.
On the national convention in the APC, Okorocha said President Buhari and Acting President,Yemi Osibanjo will not stop the convention from taking place.
He said at the meeting with the Acting President, a lot of issues on how to move the party forward was discussed and ensure the party remains victorious in all elections.
“Very soon we will have a convention. That is part of the things we are discussing” he said.
He said the convention not taking place has nothing to do with the absence of the President or Acting President, stressing that the party was striving resolve other issues before a date for the convention is announced.
