Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has announced that it would hold the Anambra governorship primary on August 19, 2017.
PDP national organizing secretary, senator Abdul Ningi said in a statement, that the sale and return of Expression of Interest/Nomination Forms began on Friday, July 21st and would end on August 7, 2017 at the Wadata Plaza national secretariat of the party.
The party said screening of aspirants for the election would hold from August 9-10 while collection of election forms from INEC (Nomination Forms,CF001 and CF002) is scheduled for Wednesday 23-25 August, 2017.
INEC will then on Monday, September 25 and November 2, 2017 publish candidates Form CF 001 and Notice of Poll,
respectively.
INEC has already scheduled November 18 with a run-off seven days later in the event any of the candidates are unable to garner sufficient votes to be outright winner.
