Pep Guardiola has purchased his third defender for Manchester City this season.

He had signed Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur few weeks ago and just yesterday, he lured Danilo from Real Madrid.

City on Monday said it has secured the services of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco for 52 million pounds.

Mendy was quoted to have said that he is delighted to be joining City, saying the English club is one of Europe’s leading clubs.

“Guardiola is a committed manager and I am happy I m going to play for him” Mendy said.
