The political feud between Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume came to the fore once again at the funeral of the mother of a state lawmaker, Lawan Duruji held at Ehime Mbano at the weekend.
Okorocha jabbed Araraume when he said he should go to Abuja and allow “small boys” to govern Imo State.
Araraume in his response replied the governor when given the microphone to speak.
He said “ you people know I am a man of my word and whatever I say I do”
The statement was seen as a direct reply to Okorocha whom many say does not do what he normally says.
He further told Rochas that when one looks around Imo State he has nothing to show for his six years at the helm of affairs of the state and there was no need for him to “join him (Rochas) and travel to Abuja since he had already gone to Abuja as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”
Okorocha and Araraume are known have been entangled each other in a political cold war in recent times over 2019 governorship election.
Okorocha is said to have a candidate to succeed him a move Araraume is believed to have opposed by proceeding with his ambition.
