Anambra: Andy Uba Denies Being Locked Out At APC Screening Exercise

Senator Andy Uba, one of the governorship aspirants of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the forthcoming governorship election, has said at no time was he locked out and barred from taking part in the ongoing APC screening exercise.

Addressing his co- ordinators in his hometown of Uga, in Aguata Local Government Area of the State, he said he was only asked to take a bow before the screening committee because he was accorded the privilege as a serving senator.

“I was neither barred nor locked-out during the screening exercise in Abuja. I was only given a special privilege as a seating Senator.

“So, disregard the rumours. These are mere antics to distract the Anambra people from supporting me candidature,” he said.

The Senator also cleared his name on the allegations that he changed the names of APC delegates ahead of the party’s forthcoming convention.

His words: “I did not at any point in time change the names of APC delegates rather I have been making serious efforts to eliminate all irregularities to make sure that there is harmonization of names.

“I think those behind the rumours are the ones responsible for such acts. All I have been fighting for is the interest of my people.”

While advocating for truth and honesty in democratic practice, the senator urged his state and ward coordinators to pay no attention to such ridiculous rumours as they were mere distractions.
