Chief Willie Obiano, the Governor of Anambra State has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for the forthcoming governorship election scheduled to hold on November 18.
He was pronounced the winner of the party’s primary held at the Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre in Awka.
He was the sole contestant in the Primary and polled 1, 070 “ Yes” votes from a total of 1,092 accredited delegates.
There were 11 “No” votes against the Governor’s aspiration. 11 votes were also declared invalid.
A former APGA National Chairman, Victor Umeh who heads Obiano’s campaign organization said APGA had done wonderfully well that would earn it another victory in the election.
