The death toll in Sunday’s three Storey building collapse in Owerri has increased to six
Latest reports reaching this news website said the female Corps member who was trapped in the rubble for several hours has died.
She died at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Rivers State where she was taken for further medical treatment when her condition degenerated from bad to worse. Her kidneys were affected as she developed urinary problems.
Some critics have kicked against the response of the emergency team that carried out the rescue efforts when the building collapsed as it took aid officials eight hours to commence operations.
