Igbo traders in Lagos State have told the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu to stay away from them and rather keep his agitation in the South East.

They said Kanu’s visit to Lagos State will send wrong signals to Nigerians to think that they (traders) are in support for the call for secession.

Their warning is coming on the heels of the reported plan by Kanu to storm Lagos soon in continuation of his visits to some States of Nigeria. They warned him to desist from making such visit, because he would not be welcomed.

Sunday Telegraph quoted the traders telling Kanu and his followers that “ taking their Biafra outside the East amounts to war mongering”

Leader of the Alaba Amalgamated Traders Association, Chief Chiemeka Ibeh, said the IPOB leader should stay away from Lagos State, urging him leave Igbos in Lagos alone.

According to him “He [Kanu] should keep his Biafra in the East where our unemployed youths are following him all over the place, not knowing what they are dabbling into.

“Most of these youth do not understand what Biafra is about and what it has cost Igbo people.
