The All Progressive Congress, Anambra State has elected Tony Nwoye as its governorship flag-bearer.
The Medical doctor cum politician scored 2,146 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senator Andy Uba who polled 931 votes.
Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima announced the results in Awka on Sunday after the keenly contested primary by 11 candidates for the November 18 governorship election.
A member of the House of Representatives, Nwoye was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He later joined the APC.
