Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has thanked departing striker, Diego Costa for his huge contribution at Stamford Bridge.
The thank you message came Friday after Chelsea agreed a move for the striker to Atletico Madrid.
The Italian coach had told the 28 year via a text message that his services would no longer be needed at the club.
Costa had scored 52 goals to aid Chelsea win two league titles in three years.
A statement by the club had revealed that they had agreed terms with la liga giants with the fee in the region of 55 million euros.
“We want to thank him (Costa) for what he did with this club. We wish him all the best for the future,” the Italian told reporters.
