There have been concern and worries expressed by some motorists and commuters over the new taxis introduced in the state capital, Owerri by the Imo state government.

The new taxis tagged “ Taximo” was unveiled last week to serve as new replacement to Tricycles (keke) which the state government wants to phase away next month. The new cabs are said to be mainly faulty raising fears how long will they last on the streets of Owerri.

Several pictures posted on facebook showed how the cabs broke down on the streets of Owerri barely a month it was allocated to some taxi drivers.
