The All Progressive Congress, APC has broken its silence on the recent comments credited to Women Affairs Minister, Aisha Alhassan .

The Minister had been in the eye of the storm over her statement on her choice of presidential aspirant for the 2019 election where she voiced her support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Alhassan appeared at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, Thursday where she was grilled over her comments.

At the end of the meeting, which lasted for about two hours, APC national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi was quoted by the News Agency of Nigeria, saying that she was not told to resign by the party leadership.
