Imo PDP Sack Anyaehie,Nwoga, Five Others For Anti Party Activities

by admin

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Imo State has again gone tough on erring members as it handed out suspension on seven  erring members of the party.

Those sacked for anti party activities are suspected loyalists of Senator Hope Uzodinma who was behind the rested Ali Modu Sherrif faction that backed the Barrister Nnamdi Anyaehie led “state executives” of the party.

The PDP in Imo State had not known n peace despite the judgment of the Supreme Court that recognized the Ahmed Makarfi led National Caretaker Committee as the authentic national leadership of the party. The Makarfi committee in turn insisted that the authentic Imo State PDP leadership is led by Barr. Charles Ezekwem.

Despite the proclamation, the PDP in Imo is still hunted by Nnamdi Anyaehie and co holding meetings and issuing counter directives to that of Ezekwem.

In what appears a move to put an end to the recalcitrance of the Anyaehie group, the mainstream PDP in the State issued a  statement   dated 12th October, 2017 and signed by Damian Opara, State Publicity Secretary of the party suspending Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Mr. Roy Iuwala, Hon. I.K Njoku, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Hon. Ken Obichere and Hon. Pius Nwoga for  gross anti party activities.

The party said the State Working Commitee  (SWC)carried out the suspension of the individuals  after reviewing the plethora of anti-party activities leveled against them by the various organs of the party starting from the Wards, Local Governments, Senatorial District, to the State Working Committee levels of PDP in Imo State.

The statement reads:

“The actions and activities of the above- named individuals who are suspended includes but not limited to: engaging in anti-party activities; engaging and doing things likely to bring the Party into disrepute, hatred or contempt; disobedience to the reconciliation committee of the party, engaging in unauthorized publicity; creations of parallel party organs at Wards, Local Governments, Senatorial Districts; engaging in conducts likely to cause disaffections among members of party, in breach of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2012).

“Based on the above verifiable instances, the State Working Committee rose from her meeting held today, 12th of October, 2017, suspending the above- named persons from participating in activities of the PDP at all levels. The suspension was subsequently approved by the State Executive Committee of the Party after a thorough and painstaking review of the suspension by the State Working Committee, pending their appearances before the State Party Disciplinary Committee” the statement concluded
