Imo Assemby Speaker: We Will Never Impeach Okorocha

The Imo State House of Assembly have vowed never to impeach Governor Rochas Okorocha.

This was disclosed by the Speaker, Rt Hon.Acho Ihim while speaking to newsmen in Owerri at the Assembly complex.

He said the Governor has made himself unimpeachable by keeping to the social contract with the people of Imo State by providing necessary infrastructure that will enhance the welfare of the people.

The Speaker said Okorocha has fought corruption to a standstill in the syte  and improved the welfare of the people since he was elected governor of the state.

He said the governor has done more work than expected saying he can only be impeached if overworking as Governor has become an impeachable offence.

Ihim who leads the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association announced that no fewer than 700 lawmakers will attend a summit in Owerri.
