Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha Sunday gave a damning jibe on two of his men who have been speculated to be his likely successors in 2019.

Deputy Governor of the State, Eze Madumere and his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu have been reported to have their sights on succeeding the Imo State Governor.

But at the Thanksgiving/Child Dedication ceremony of twin daughter’s of his Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations),Hon. Kingsley Uju at the International Conference Centre, ICC, Owerri, online reports quoted  the Governor describing his deputy, Eze Madumere to “have the spirit of Rochas, and that is the reason he is confused and he do not know what he is doing. Madumere is very confused”

He spoke about his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu describing him as a man who is losing out in the “spirit of Rochas” He frowned at the “grey hair” his Chief Of Staff is fast acquiring which he attributed to political pressure.

The Governor never made references to the speculated bid of Madumere and Nwosu to succeed him in 2019 but analysts interpret his comments to reflect his disposition towards their perceived political ambitions.
