The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Imo State is set to receive thousands of fleeing members from the All Progressive Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This newspaper had reported in the past that some top PDP chieftains including governorship aspirants had switched over to APGA. They include Chief Jerry Chukwueke and Barr. Charles Onyegabako. Other notable politicians from various political leanings in the state are also expected to declare for the party.
A source in the party said the planned mega rally “will change the political direction in Imo State as 2019 draws near. Over 10,000 PDP, APC members, including those from other political parties will join APGA on November 3, 2017″
The source failed to disclose if the Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano will attend the event considering the tight schedule of the APGA leader who is heading into the Anambra State governorship election on November 18.
