PRESS RELEASE#

First Republic Minister of Aviation, Dara Mbazulike Amaechi, popularly known as “The Boy Is Good” in political circles, on Friday, endorsed Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, the PDP Candidate in the coming Anambra Gubernatorial election of November 18.

Using a traditional staff as a symbol of his loyalty and commitment, the Ukpor-born astute politician expressed his optimism that the forth-coming election is PDP’s election to lose. Though he acknowledged the fact that there are tough challenges in incumbent state and federal governments’ candidates, the Ukpor high chief did not waver in conviction.

”This staff is for you as a symbol of my utmost support and assurance that you will be the next governor of Anambra State come March 17, 2018.

”I’m 89 and will be celebrating my 90th Birthday on June 16. I want you to celebrate it with me as governor.

”You’re a good man. Your relationship with elders like me while you served under Peter Obi as SSG is enough proof that you have all ingredients of good leadership.

”Besides, there’s no other candidate in this election that matches you in pedigree and the required ingredients to be a governor of a state like Anambra.,” the ex-minister, who is still very sound in mind and limbs expressed.

The high chief went further to state that it was time Anambra State reconnected to national political grid. He was emphatic that there are only two parties in Nigeria that has national outlook and Anambra had been an outsider for too long.

”Even though Peter Obi managed that handicap very well that our state didn’t actually feel left out of main trust of events, what we have now as government is truly leaving us far behind,”the elder statesman concluded.

Accepting the staff with all humility, Obaze, who had his ever amiable running mate, Lady Chidi Onyemelukwe beside him, thanked the octogenarian for his kind words and assured that he and his running mate will never disappoint as governor and deputy.

This courtesy visit by Obaze and his OHO Campaign Team happened in Dara Amaechi’s Amihe Ukpor home, where the only road passing through his community that was flagged off and 60% completed by ex-governor Peter Obi before handover has been abandoned by Gov. Obiano.
