Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige has been named Chairman of the Campaign organization of the All Progressive Congress, APC governorship candidate in Anambra State, Tony Nwoye.

Ngige was a former governor of Anambra State.

Ngige is expected to lead a 50 man team made up of APC chieftains with the mandate of ensuring success for Nwoye and the party at the November 18, 2017 governorship election in the state.

APC Enugu State Chairman, Barr. Emeka Ibe made the announcement at the party’s stakeholders meeting on Sunday in Awka.

Ibe said since after the governorship primary the party engaged stakeholders to ensure that all grievances were dropped and the party heads to the election with one voice.

He said, “We constituted the reconciliation committee, which is headed by the deputy governorship candidate of our party, Mr Dozie Ikedife Jnr., and they have been meeting stakeholders to ensure unity, and soon, they will present their report to the house.

“So far, we have gotten most of the aspirants of the party who lost to Nwoye to drop their grievances, and they have accepted to work with us, and we are sure that if we approach this election as one house, we will win the election.”

The meeting was attended by most aspirants of the party who had lost to Nwoye, and they took time to display their support for the party, and for its candidate, Dr Nwoye.

Other members of the campaign team include the party’s aspirants; Chief George Mogahalu as vice chairman, Engr. Johnbosco Onukwu, Bath Nwibe, Paul Chukwuma, all of whom had contested the ticket of the party against Nwoye.
