The Abia State Government has lifted the 10pm to 6Pm curfew imposed on Aba, Abia State on September 12 because of the  improved security situation in the commercial city.

In a statement by Okezie’s Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appollos, the governor commended Aba residents for compliance during the period the curfew lasted. He urged them to remain vigilant and law abiding in order to ensure lasting peace in the city.

Okezie was also grateful for the security agencies during the period the curfew lasted .

The state government had imposed a dusk to dawn curfew following clashes with some members of the pro Biafra group and the military.
