It was drama at the premises of an Owerri High Court on Thursday when men of the Mobile Police stormed the premises in a commando style.
They had arrived at the office of the Chief Judge to effect an arrest but were unable to do so as their suspect was nowhere to be found.
An eye witness said the policemen went on to seal the premises of the Court and chased away members of the public who had come to the court premises for one matter or the other.
This led to serious panic instilling fear on visitors of the court. What raised eyebrows was the manner the police officers arrived carrying sophisticated weapons. They were conveyed in a hilux van.
The Police is yet to issue a statement on the development.
