Ohaneze Youths in Owerri zone have again insisted that it is the turn of the zone to produce the next governor of Imo State in 2019.

The group in a resolution after its meeting in Owerri also sacked some of its erring members.

In its resolutions at an expanded Exco meeting held in Owerri and signed by the group Chairman, Emmanuel Aririguzo, the youths restated their unflinching support to the fair  and just cause of Owerri zone to correct the long term political, economic and social marginalization of the Zone by the Rochas Okorocha government in Imo State.

It also announced its suspension of some of its erstwhile officers namely ” Mrs Ogechi Vivian Uzoma (State Deputy chairman, Mbaitolu), Mr Okechukwu  Immanuel (State secretary, Owerri West) who irrespective of the fact that they rode on the shoulders of the owerri zone Council to emerge in their respective positions has severely proved to be enemies of TRUE, FAIR AND EQUITY demand of Owerri zone to produce the next Imo Governor come 2019 which is evident in their roles at the 23rd September 2017 failed Okigwe Zonal Youths Summit where the Duo of Mrs Ogechi Uzoma and Okechukwu Immanuel though from Owerri zone made case for the emergence of an Okigwe Governor in 2019”

It also frowned “at the continuous harassment of its members with monetary and material gifts from Rochas Okorocha’s cancerous (sic) government through an immediate past commissioner from Owerri zone and  the leperious supporters of Senator Ifeanyi Ararume through an Mbaise business man”

It said the Council not to be deterred urging the council ” not to be deceived as nothing not even burning of our houses or killing of our members will stop the councils agitation for the emergence of An Imo Governor of owerri zone extraction come 2019″

It also expressed its disapproval to the dude and bounced cheque given to pensioners in Imo State by the State government while he prefers to lavish Imo tax payers money on birthday parties and other unceremonious ceremonies.

It also urged Owerri zone youths not to be distracted or intimidated over the arrests of its council members, saying  “it is better to die fighting for a just cause”
