Owerri Community: Why We Back Uche Nwosu’s Guber Bid

Umuoyima community in Owerri municipal have explained why it rolled out the drums of support for Chief of Staff, Government House, Owerri, Chief Uche Nwosu.

Mixed reactions have trailed the endorsement coming barely two months the Okorocha administration demolished the Eke Ukwu Owere market in line with its urban renewal programme.

It was harvest of encomiums on Saturday 11th of November 2017 as the chief of Staff Government house was adopted as a full citizen of Umuoyima Community,Owerri Municipal Council.

Speaking,Nwosu who was visibly joyful expressed his happiness at the gesture.He described Oyima Community as the most peaceful Community in Owerri.Nwosu
was full of praises for the initiator of the ceremony who doubled as the Chairman of the Occasion,Nzeh Patrick Chidiebere .He described him as a young man with a big heart.

The chief of Staff noted that Nzeh Patrick who is a product of Rochas foundation College is a die hard Rescue Missionary.He promised to provide a befitting car for the traditional ruler of the Community and his Ugoeze respectively,while promising to immediately complete the Community,s town hall(Obiri).He also promised to carry them along in the scheme of things now that he has obtained citizenship of the Community .

He also used the opportunity to enumerate numerous transformational strides of the Rescue Mission Government led by His Excellency,Owelle Rochas Okorocha , especially the recent attraction of Presidents of Countries to the state .He said the situation had a significant positive impact in the economy of the state adding that it has enhanced the international reputation of the state .

In his speech,the traditional ruler of the Community,His Royal Highness Eze Henry Theophilus Ifeanyi Uba pledged their unalloyed support to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu in any of his future political aspiration adding that they are solidly behind him.

In their separate speeches ,the member representing Owerri Municipal in Imo State House of Assembly,Hon.Lugrd Osuji ,Chief Pascal Ugwuanya, enumerated numerous achievements of the Rescue Mission in the areas of free Education,Massive employment and recruitment of youths into the civil service ward by ward in the 27 LGA of the state,opening of layouts in the state,the urban renewal program among others.

They noted that the enviable achievements could not have been possible without the contribution of Nwosu who they said brought his ingenuity and charisma to bear in the present administration .They said the Rescue Mission Government is the only administration that has given Oyima Community a sense of belonging in governance .

The event which was the homecoming and formal reception of Nwosu as a Oyima indigene attracted numerous groups who render varied solidarity and appreciative songs in support of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.

The Groups include; Young Mothers group,Nde Ndom Umuoyima,Umu Mgboto Oyima, Ugwumba Movement,Ugwumba youth Vanguard,Believe International Movement among others.

It also attracted the who is who in the Rescue Mission Family including Prof .Nnamdi Obareri,Hon.Lasbery Okaforanyanwu,Prince chidi Nwaturuocha,Hon.Lady Barr.Ugochi Nnanna Okoro,Barr.Paschal Onwukaike,Hon.Henry Ezediaro,Chief Macantony Amaefula,Dr Uzoma Anwuka,Hon.Obinna Okwara.

Other dignatries at the occasion include Hon.Robertson Ekwebelem,Chief .Engr.Chidi Ibe,Chief Basil Ogwunga,Hon.Jeff Nwoha among others.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of the citizenship certificate to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu by the traditional ruler and the inauguration of Oyima Youth Executive.
