Reports reaching this news platform indicate that members of the Imo State House of Assembly are locked in talks with Governor Rochas Okorocha at Government House, Owerri as at the time of filing this report.
The Governor was due to present the 2018 Budget on the floor of the House by 10:00am.
As at 1:10 pm noon, none of the lawmakers were sighted in the House except some commissioner designates seen around the House premises. A source said the lawmakers all went to Govt House for talks with the Governor.
No reason has been given for the delay.
It is still expected that the Governor will go ahead with the 2018 Budget presentation as scheduled.
