Nwokorie Moves Local Produce To America, Europe

International business man, Chief Vernatius Iheanacho Nwokorie, popularly called Nze Acho, has shown that concentrating on agricultural production in rural community can become strong economic boost to the nation through job creation and attraction of foreign exchange.

Chief Acho who is popularly known for his iconic role in pushing up the frontiers of chemical and hospital equipment supply, expanded his business interest by moving into fish farming, snairly, piggery and palm plantation in his Aghaghara Nsu country home, Ehime Mbano, Imo state.

The produce recently got international recognition when a Dominican priest, Rev Fr (Dr) Iheanyi Ewerem O.P, facilitated the launch in Canada, where he is based, while arrangements are on top gear to do same in UK, US and Benin Republic. Fr Ewerem is a devoted servant of God known for his commitment to the promotion of local content.

Speaking to members of Nsu Economic Council (NEC), a non governmental elite group with a mission for socio-economic stimulation in Nsu and beyond, Chief Acho called on Nsu people and the entire Nigerians to come home and invest in their communities as a means of creating employment for the youths and development of the rural areas.

He said that the fabrication of the farming equipments, man power inputs and other support services used in his farm were provided by people of the host community as a way of empowerment.

The President of NEC, Chief Paschal Egeruo and other members of the association, commended Chief Acho, who is a BoT member of NEC, for his exemplary role and harped on the need to patronize home grown products.
