Workers in the State Civil Service have been undergoing some screening and examination in line with State Government resolve to begin promotion of workers.

Governor Rochas Okorocha had assured workers of promotion to various levels though the promise has been hindered by non payment of wages that are usually attached so such promotion.

Despite non fulfilment of the promise, another round of exercise geared at ensuring another promotion of the workers in the State work force is ongoing.

This newspaper was informed that the exercise began since last Monday- a development which has caused mixed feelings among the workers.

Some of the workers wondered if the upcoming promotion will be attached with commesurate payments since the State government has been unable to pay arrears of workers salaries for a very long time.

The Imo State Government had slashed Workers salaries by 30% since last year a move that has affected workers morale and output
