Core loyalists in Owerri Zone of a front line politician and governorship aspirant , Senator Ifeanyi Araraume are contemplating holding a mega rally for the politician sometime in December.
Araraume, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC has been a thorn in the flesh of Governor Rochas Okorocha swaying key party chieftains and some APC Local Government Chairmen in the State.
Okorocha had accused the LGA Chairmen of taking an oath in exchange for the loyalty for the senator.
Araraume’e men such as Chief Gibson Achonwa Njemanze (Oyiga), Chief Amugo Ugoji, Nze Bethel Nzimako, Evans Anaele, Former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ernest Ibejiako had met recently in Owerri where they vowed to work for the success of Araraume in the Zone.
Oyiga had said Araraume despite the fact that Owerri zone is agitating for the governorship seat in 2019, he (Araraume) from Okigwe zone has the nerve to unseat Rochas Okorocha as governor in 2019.
A top source in Araraume’s camp told this newspaper that in order to consolidate on the gains Araraume has made in furthering his ambition, there is need to galvanize more support for the senator in Owerri zone.
The source ” We are contemplating holding a mega rally for Araraume in Owerri zone sometime in December. This is not certain yet as stakeholders continue to explore the possibility of holding the rally. By the time the senator returns from the United States, the possibility of the rally will become clear. We are still x raying the option”
Araraume is currently in the United States of America where he is also mobilizing groundswell of support for his governorship ambition.
