The Clerk of the Imo State House of Assembly, Mr.Chris Duru has been suspended.
The sack is coming barely 48 hours after the House members refused to show up for the Budget presentation by the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
A rift had been reported to be ongoing between the Governor and the Imo lawmakers.

Details however surfaced last night how members of the Imo State House of Assembly went after the Clerk of the House, Chris Duru.
Mr. Duru was suspended by the House members on Thursday.
Various stories went wild on the internet why he was removed, But sources said it may not be unconnected with the ongoing rift between the House members and the Governor over thorny issues surrounding the 2018 budget.
On Tuesday, Imolites were shocked to learn when Governor Rochas Okorocha was unable tp present the 2018 Budget as scheduled to the lawmakers.
None of the House members showed up for the presentation. The Imo State Government later issued a statement citing discrepancies in the speech as reason for the non presentation.
