Former JAMB Board member, Amugo Ugoji has said he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the All Progressive Congress, APC to support the governorship aspiration of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.
Ugoji said he left the party to show his support not necessarily for the APC for the distinguished senator.
He said Imo State has been undergoing a rudderless government in the last six years, saying only an Araraume candidacy will restore the wrongs done by the present government.
Speaking at the inauguration of Araraume’s Destiny Organization in Owerri Federal Constituency, he said he is a strong supporter of an Owerri Zone governor as his disposition has not changed as he will be glad to see an Owerri or Okigwe son emerge the next governor of Imo State in 2019.
He said he was an advocate of an Owerri zone governor in the past having served as Owerri zonal chairman of the PDP. He said at the moment Senator Araraume posses the nerve to unseat the present governor, describing him as a a good man with a good pedigree that will guarantee good governance for the state.
