The governorship ambition of Chief of Staff, Government House, Owerri, Chief Uche Nwosu may be real afterall as 27 members of the Imo State House of Assembly are behind the ambition of the Chief of Staff.
According to Hon. Uzoma Ezediaro, member representing Oguta State constituency, he said members of the House are even ready to revolt against the governor if he fails in giving his support to his son- in law in 2019.
His pronouncement is coming on the heels of a rift in the House after the 2018 botched budget which has led to the polarization of the Assembly.
The endorsement is seen as deft strategy to use Nwosu’s ambition to re- unites the Assemblymen and the Governor.
Ezediaro was quoted to have said that he has the mandate of his colleagues to speak on their behalf in order to end speculations in order to end speculations in some quarters as regards where the loyalty of the House members lie
Ezediaro added that even though the loyalty of his colleagues to Owelle Rochas Okorocha is unflinching, they may have no options but to revolt against him this time around, if he fails to name Uche Nwosu as his preferred successor.
According to him; “Imo has experienced so much developmental positives in the last six years that we cannot afford to hand the State over to some hawks who may destroy the achievements of the Rescue Mission administration.
He announced plans by the lawmamkers to donate 27 brand new buses to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu governorship campaign.
