If reports reaching this online news platform is anything to go by, only “loyal” House of Assembly members will attend the expected budget presentation by Governor Rochas Okorocha on December 12.

A source said some of the lawmakers were approached ahead of the Budget presentation where some promises were made to them including a return ticket in 2019 and elevation to other positions on the platform of the APC.

This is said to be an advance move to wade off any unforeseen circumstances that hinder the budget presentation on Nov.24.

The lawmakers had boycotted the Nov.28 planned budget presentation lamenting that their welfare have been ignored for a very long time.

The lawmakers in what appears waking up from slumber “revolted” by staying away from the Budget presentation by the Governor.

A quick succession of events within and outside the House led to the resignation of the Majority Leader, Hon.Lugard Osuji and two others after attempts to suspend the Clerk, Chris Duru was reversed and rather a 5 man committee was set up to investigate allegations against him.

Newspaper reports in Owerri claimed that there may not be a full house of members during the Budget presentation as the aggrieved lawmakers said to 16 in number may be absent at the presentation.
