An online news website, INNONEWS.COM.NG is set to be unveiled in Owerri, Imo State capital.

The event holds at Ambassador Hotel, Mbaise Road on Friday, December 15, 2017 by 12 noon and will be attended by eminent Imolites.

In a statement signed by the Publisher/Editor In Chief of the online news outfit, Mr. Innocent Onyeukwu, he said the unveiling of the news website marks a turning point in the journalism profession in Imo State and also opens a new chapter in online newspapering in the State. He said the online news outfit has grown in leaps and bounds since it was established as it enjoys affiliation to national and international online news websites which has led to unprecedented hits on the website and increased viewership.

Onyeukwu stated that INNONEWS.COM.NG has also effectively informed the people of Imo State and beyond of events in the State, stating that it is styled in the mould of other leading news websites in the country targeted at informing Imolites both at home and in Diaspora of incisive news on a wide range of issues.

He however pointed out that its coverage is not restricted to Imo State alone but also the entire South East and the nation at large.

“As at March 2017, we reached more than 300,000 online readers, 75% of these readers were from Imo State at home and those  in more than 27 countries notably the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, some African countries and little known Guatemala”
