Imo PDP Disown National Youth Leader Aspirant

The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has disowned Mr. Franklyne Maduabuchi Edede.

Edede vied for the National Youth Leader position of the party at the December 9 non elective national convention.

In  a statement by the State Publicity Secretary, Damian Opara accused the party of working  in connivance “with other impostors trying to form a parallel National structure of our party”

The statement reads:

“The attention of Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been drawn to the malicious and Misleading reports in some of the National dailies claiming that Franklyne Maduabuchi Edede who in connivance with other imposters trying to form a parallel National structure of our party is a member of PDP, IMO state Chapter.

“The party dismisses this misleading reports as false and unfounded which is nothing but the handiwork and trademark of mischievous individuals in their renewed struggle and efforts to destabilize PDP after a successful National Elective Convention.

” We have checked the PDP registers in all the wards in Ezinihitte Mbaise his Local Govt and discovered that he is not a registered member of PDP neither in his Eziudo ward, his Local Govt Ezinihitte nor any other part of IMO State.

We hereby state categorically that he is not a member of PDP IMO State Chapter.

We call on all our teeming supporters and all the organs of PDP at the National level to disregard the activities of the above named person as he might have been hired to distract our great party.

“We re- reinstate our support and unflinching loyalty to the Prince Uche Secondus led National Executive Committee of PDP and reassure them that no amount of distractions will stop us from taking over power in IMO State and Nigeria come 2019.” he stated
