ISCA Hold Maiden Imo Diaspora Day 2017 In Owerri

The Imo State Congress of America, ISCA has held its maiden edition of Imo Diaspora Day at the Imo Trade and Investment Centre.

The theme of the summit was “Positioning Imo State For Economic Advancement, Social Betterment and Good Governance”

Those in attendance at the Diaspora summit include some well meaning sons and daughters of Imo State who were based in America and other parts of the world.  The event also attracted members of ISCA and some other well respected Imo sons and outside the state such as the owner of Zinox Computers,Mr.Leo-Stan Eke.

Other members of the association present among include the Co-Chairman,Chief Chris Onwuzuruike from Abba in Nwangele LGA of Imo State, the Vice President of Igbo Community Association in America, Chief Ogbogu Alvin Achonu, and Chief Sir.Jeff Uju (Akurulo 1 of Abba Nwangele) and other prominent dignitaries.

In his speech,the President of ISCA,Chief Nasa Madumere, expressed satisfaction on the successes recorded by the association and thanked all those who were  present for the first Imo Diaspora Summit Day 2017 in the state.

 

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, the President said the summit is aimed at bringing back home their wealth of experiences, finances and their investments for the development of the state.

“ISCA is poised and ready you partner with any government power to add value,growth and create job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths in Imo State” he said

He called on the people of Imo State to believe and support their association by providing an enabling environment,  appealing  to the youths to shun cultism, any ugly and unlawful activities that may truncate their future careers.

The highlight of the Imo Diaspora Summit was the financial empowerment of over 100 women from across the 27 LGAs of the state with valuable cash support.
