A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC in Imo State and a former General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA,Barr. Chima Anozie from Orji- Uratta in Owerri North LGA of the state has said the ruling political party in Nigeria, the All Progressive Congress APC,is moving closer to perfection based on the present economic situation in country under President Muhammadu Buhari and the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
Barr. Anozie, a lawyer and popularly called Home Base is a leader of the party in Owerri North LGA. He had vied House of Assembly seat of Owerri North on the platform of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party,ANPP in 2003.
After losing at the polls, he went to court to chalenge the flawed electoral process. He later decamped to PDP before joining the APC.
He said the APC in State and at the National level are doing very well.
He said”Those who are complaining about the present leadership of APC are those who cannot meet up”.
He commended Governor Rochas Okorocha for upholding the original Owerri Master Plan in his current bid towards achieving his Urban Renewal Programme.
He said Governor Okorocha is not perfect but he is moving closer to perfection.
On the issues between the State Legislature and the State Executive on the botched 2018 Budget presentation,Anozie described it as a family misunderstanding.
In apparent reaction to the adopton of Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu as governor in 2019 by the member of Imo State House of Assembly, he noted that the State House of Assembly members have no right to adopt any other person as the next Imo Governor.
Barr.Anozie who is also a farmer, a Roman Catholic Church Warden and a politician cum philanthropist disclosed that he is at the moment nursing his governorship aspiration for 2019 but humbly waiting for the divine direction and God’s approval to declare his gubernatorial interest.
He therefore called on Imolites to vote credibly and responsibly in 2019.
