With the declaration of Senator Samuel Anyanwu to run for Owerri senatorial race for the second time, there are indications that the member representing Owerri Federal Constituency, Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi may also join the race.
Onyewuchi has not formally declared his ambition but there are indications he will but close sources say that he will plunge into the contest at the right time.
The incumbent senator Anyanwu had recently debunked speculations by seeking for re- election to the senate than to aspire for the governorship in 2019. Anyawnu seems to enjoy an edge with his reported adoption by a top PDP leader, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
He had told visiting Imo State PDP executives that his decision to aspire for a second term is to enable him attract more dividends of democracy to the people.
Onyewuchi is in his final lap as House member representing Owerri Federal Constituency having been on the seat for eight years of two terms.
