Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha came down hard on his political opponents in the State saying they have nothing to offer.
He said he can only become friends with advanced people like South Africa President, Jacob Zuma, Ghanaian President, Akufo Addo and other well meaning international personalities. And not “people like former Governor Achike Udenwa, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Ifeanyi Araraume and Ikedi Ohakim”
Okorocha spoke at the Imo Youth Centre, New Owerri at the 1st Annual Imo Youth Annual Lecture series/ Award Ceremony ceremony with the theme “ Focus Building An Ideal Imo”
The Governor earlier in his words of mentorship to the youths, charged them to avoid keeping friends who do not add positive value to them.
He said the youths as those with hidden potentials and needed to develop the state and the country’s future.
He said” for me,poverty does not exist because I have broken the jinx”.
The State Governor also said ” Now is the time you think about your future and do not depend on the government rather engage yourselves into small and micro scale businesses as such would in the nearest future enhance your richness”he advised.
He spoke on the Theory of Rochanomics, which he described as Rochas Theory of economic success.
He described education as a live wire to success.
He said ” Stop offering excuses,take responsibilities,be decision makers, shun gossiping, avoid backbiting,ignore money bag politicians,start small,be courageous and also re-package yourselves to meet greatness”
